Helpful Maintenance Tips
- LOSS OF ELECTRICITY
Check the Breaker or Fuse box depending on property.
- LOSS OF ELECTRICITY IN BATHROOM
Reset the GFI button located on the outlet in the bathroom or kitchen area.
- LOW WATER PRESSURE
Unscrew (counter clockwise) the small screen located on the faucet where water comes out (may require a crescent wrench), rinse screen free of residue, reattach screen (clockwise) on faucet.
- GARBAGE DISPOSAL NOT WORKING
Push the Reset button located under the sink on the garbage disposal.
- TOILET OVERFLOWING
Turn off the water at the tank and call emergency maintenance right away.
- SMELL GAS
(Important note – natural gas has the unmistakable odor of rotten eggs.) If you suspect an appliance is leaking gas, turn off the appliance and turn off the gas supply to that appliance (you should be able to find a shut-off handle somewhere on the supply line). Then call PG&E immediately (800-743-5000).
- LOCKED OUT OF APARTMENT
If Tenant is locked out of the residence after business hours, Tenant(s) will need to contact a 24 hour locksmith to have the locks changed at the residence. If locks have been changed, Tenant(s) must give a copy to CRI, Inc. within 24 Hours. This goes for Remotes to Garages as well.
